Gerald Elmore

GERALD ELMORE Gerald L. Elmore, 89, of Pahrump, passed away Sept. 27, 2010. He was born Sept. 8, 1921, in Picher, Okla., and was a 55-year resident of Nevada. Gerald was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a limousine driver for Bell Limousine Service, retiring after over 20 years of service. He was a charter member of the American Legion in San Gabriel, Calif. Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, of 50 years, Maggie; and daughter, Sherry. He is survived by his son, Terry Elmore of Pahrump; daughters, Connie Sheldon of Pahrump, and Billie Gray of Tonopah; grandchildren, Joseph Elmore of Las Vegas, Wendy Lucas of Springville, Utah, Amber Fenner of Albuquerque, N.M., Shannon Sheldon of Las Vegas, and Christopher Sheldon of Albuquerque; and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, at Bunkers Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road in Las Vegas.
