Gerald Giles Obituary
Gerald Raymond Giles, 55, of 1000 Newman Road, Pelham, NC, died Friday, December 16, 2011 in Danville Regional Medical Center. Born in Danville May 14, 1956, Mr. Giles was the son of the late Alvin R. Giles and Myrtle Overby Giles. He loved the outdoors, gardening, and fishing and his dog Cocoa. He was married to Robin E. Giles, who survives him. In addition to his wife, Mr. Giles is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Susan and Jasper Willis of Eden, NC and Tracey and Steven Chaney of Jacksonville, NC; one son and daughter-in-law: Timothy and Virginia Giles of Tampa, FL; one step son: Andrew Neely of Pelham, NC; a sister: Carolyn Gammon of Pelham, NC; eight grandchildren; and two very special friends: Eddie Jones and Harold Mitchell. Funeral services officiated by Rev. Larry Durham will be held Monday, December 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Swicegood Funeral Home West Main Chapel. Interment will follow in Schoolfield Cemetery.
