Our condolencences and prayers are with Great Uncle Gerry's immediate and extended family. I have always thought very fondly of him and enjoyed stories of when all the Hewitt boys were young. Lisa Fuller (Don and Betty's granddaughter)

To young Jerry,

Sorry about the loss of your father. He was a wonderful man. I have many fond memories of coming over to your house for your mother's pies and talking with your father as he watched Hockey Night in Canada.

Brother Gerry, will be most remembered by all his card loving friends, as the Euchre or "Haasie" card shark. Play one card and he knew immediately, every card you had of the 5 you held. Play the wrong one if he was your partner and you heard about it, for certain. Know he will show those who have preceeded him the same super talents as he did in all his acts and actions; sports or otherwise, none excelled any better. "We'll miss you Gerry", and one day we will join you in your now restful and peaceful, heavenly home.
Our love to all the immediate family; we share yours as well as our great loss.
much love, Dick and Lyn

A great brother who will be fondly remembered. He was my sports idol during my younger years and I always admired his many athletic accomplishments. He was always "Gike" to us and that name will be eternally special to us. We talked on the phone frequently during the last few years and we will miss him greatly..

My Uncle Jerry was always known as the athlete in our family. He was the best golfer, always straight down the middle. Bowler, with many 800 series, and a tenacious euchre player! As a kid growing up in the 50's & 60's I always marveled at his abilities, & looked forward to our family gatherings to hear about his exploits. My Dad (Jerrys youngest brother) always speaks fondly of Jerrys many achievements and how kind he was.
He will be missed by all our family, and my prayers go out to both my cousins, Sandra & Jerry Jr, and your families.
