Gerald Philo Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 27, 2010.
Gerald A. Philo beloved husband and father died 08/26/10 in Tallahassee, FL ending his mortal life and going to eternal rest.

He was born March 8, 1937 in Utica, New York to Dorothy and Leo, and grew up in that area with brothers Raymond and David (dec.). After graduating high school he served six years in the US Army (active and reserve). While stationed in Cleveland, Ohio he met and married Patricia Williamson. They were married for fifty-one years. His civilian career was as a sales representative ending with 18 years at Polychrome Corporation. His career required transfers throughout the Northeast, but in 1977 moved to Florida living in Tarpon Springs for 25 years. He retired early due to illness and moved to Tallahassee in 2003. He was an avid tennis player, enjoyed travel and theatre. In recent years he took up and enjoyed woodworking.

Those who will cherish his memory include his loving wife Patricia, children Timothy (Teresa), Laura, Suzanne (James), and Gregory; brother Raymond (Carol), eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren, plus a large extended family and many dear friends.

He was blessed with a wonderful life and will always be in our hearts.
