Gerald "Jerry" Zekis Dyer Gerald "Jerry" Zekis, age 65, late, of Dyer, IN, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2006. Beloved husband of Lucy (nee Miller) for over 44 years; loving father of Rebecca Andorfer and Christopher (April) Zekis; cherished grandfather of Jason, Justin, Bradley and Alyssa; dearest brother of Regina (Richard) Burin and Charles (Gale) Zekis; devoted brother-in-law of Mary Sue (Richard) Johnson, John Miller, Dave (Jaci) Miller, Bob Miller and Betsy Miller; loving cousin of Sr. Frances Miller and Alex (Cheryl) Miller. Also survived by dearly loved and cherished nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his parents: Jack and Delores Zekis; and brother-in-law, Richard Miller. Jerry was an employee of Lake County Government Complex and was a retired electrician for Acme Steel. He was a retired member of IBEW Local #134. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. from the Elmwood Funeral Chapel, 11300 W. 97th Lane (1/2 block west of US 41 Wicker Ave. at 97th Street), St. John, IN to St. John the Evangelist Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Holy Name Cemetery, Cedar Lake, IN.
