Geraldine M. "Jerry" Goodwin, resident of Long Beach, CA for over 70 years, passed away on April 19, 2015. Jerry was born on November 19, 1918 in St. Joseph, MO to John J. Donegan and Julia Marguerite (Bilimek) Donegan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Alice J. Warren, her brother John J. Donegan, Jr, and her youngest son Walter E. Goodwin, Jr. Jerry was married to Walter E. Goodwin and had three sons and one daughter. She retired from the County of Los Angeles where she served as a Chief Clerk. She was known by family and friends for her warmth, generosity, loyalty, and zest for life. She is survived by her children: Michael Goodwin (Naomi), Patricia Goodwin (Joseph Krewer), and Donald Goodwin (Susan), twelve grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren. All Souls Mortuary and Cemetery of Long Beach is in charge of services, which include Visitation on Thursday, April 23, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm and a Funeral Mass and Internment on Friday, April 24, 2015 at 9 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Little Sisters of the Poor in San Pedro, CA (www.littlesistersofthepoor.com) or to St. Vincent de Paul Society (www.svdpusa.orf).
