Geraldine Guess Obituary

Mrs. Geraldine Elizabeth (Hubbard) Guess, born on September 18, 1917 in Gainesville,
Texas to the late Ennie Hubbard and the late Ernest Hubbard,
passed away at the age of
100 on April 22, 2018 in Tucson, Arizona. Geraldine was married to the late Marlon
Kenneth Guess, Sr. They married June 27th, 1936.
They were together until his death in
1984. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Booker, Leslie, Wesley, Margaret,
and Jack Young; grandchild La Trina; and daughter in law Alice Rose Guess.
Geraldine is survived by her daughter Olivia Guess Smith and son Marlon Kenneth Guess Jr.; grandchildren Karen, Kenneth and his wife Glenda, Marla, and Marsha and her husband Josh; great-grandchildren Kuuleme, Ayaba, Bryant, Miranda, and Estella Rose; great-great-grandchildren Daeja, Britain, and
Kylee; and niece Ennie. There are many relatives who were dear to her heart.
Geraldine and Popo raised Kuuleme and Ayaba. Geraldine enjoyed gardening, bowling,
sewing, and sports of all kinds. Geraldine and Popo were super fans at all of the
grandchildren's athletic, ballet, singing, and other sports and school activities. She was the
oldest surviving Guess and received an honorary blanket signifying her status in 2013.
Special thanks to Waverly House for providing excellent care, and being family, for six
years. Friends and family are welcome to attend the service on Saturday, May 12 from
10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The funeral home will be South Lawn Dignitary Mortuary, 5410
South Park Avenue, Tucson, Arizona 85706. Repast to follow at Waverly House, 2330 E.
Waverly Street, Tucson, Arizona, 85719 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m.
