Geraldine Isbell Obituary

Geraldine Gasque Isbell, 78, of Tuscumbia, died Sept. 14, 2006.



The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 17, at Tuscumbia Valley Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Tuscumbia Oakwood Cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 2 p.m. Brother Hosea Smith is officiating. Visitation was held Saturday at Colbert Memorial Chapel.



Mrs. Isbell is survived by two daughters, Henretta Isbell, of Huntsville, and Betty Jane Hoven, of Mobile; five sons, Clovis Isbell Jr. and wife, Margaret, Douglas Isbell, Ricky Isbell and wife, Susie, Harold Isbell and wife, Donna, and Dexter Isbell and wife, Bonnie, all of Tuscumbia; sisters, Lucille Kelso, of Florence, and Clara Rogers, of Spring, Texas; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces, including special nieces, Judy Glover and Jane Berryman.



Pallbearers will be Aaron Isbell, Anthony Isbell, Jonathan Isbell, Dean Tilley, Kevin Johnson and Andrew Isbell.



Mrs. Isbell was preceded in death by her husband, Clovis C. Isbell Sr.; daughter, Margaret Isbell; parents, Homer and Bessie Gasque; and sister, Virginia Berryman.



Mrs. Isbell was retired from Shoals Community College and was a member of Tuscumbia Valley Missionary Baptist Church.



Colbert Memorial Chapel, of Tuscumbia, is directing.
