We did a Face time video chat last Christmas with Mom. It was so fun being able to see her on Christmas Day via video. She was so happy to be able to see and speak with us. She loved Christmas just as I do. It's difficult to know or believe it would be the last one we'd have with her. She brought so much joy and happiness and smiles to everyone. I will miss her immensely for the wonderful and fun-loving person she was.

Dear Kimmie,
Our prayers and thoughts are with you sweetie. I wish we could say or do something to ease your sorrow but having walked in your shoes before I was 30, I know I cannot change your world for you. Time will not change anything. The loss of a loving mother cannot be made better, it is a wound on our hearts and souls that stays with us forever.
I will say this. I wish we could have met her. She looks like she was a "hot ticket in a bucket of fun". And you are so much like her it seems.
Look forward to seeing you.
Love, Karen (Domenech-), Mike, and Pvt. Alexander Hildreth
