Gerardus van Kralingen

Gerardus "Gerry" van Kralingen, 77, passed away on August 10, 2025, in Saint Petersburg, Florida.

Born on February 20, 1948, in Rotterdam, Gerry's journey brought him to New York from the Netherlands at the age of 17. Finding his way in a career in Information Technology and Business Systems.

A man of great presence and warmth, Gerry left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was known for his booming voice, crushing handshake, generous spirit and unwavering devotion to those he loved-qualities that were especially evident in the way he cared for his beloved wife, Jane. Throughout her illness, Gerry remained by her side, fighting each challenge, keeping her spirits high and attending to her every need until her passing, 101 days before his own. Their bond was profound and enduring.

Jane and Gerry were a force, full of adventure. They celebrated life and were never ones to miss a good party. Two free spirits that somehow kept each other grounded, they built a family and shared their passion for adventure across continents and cultures. Whether exploring new cities on our "Fun Sunday" adventures or visiting favorite cafes, Gerry and Jane taught us to embrace the world with curiosity.

Gerry is lovingly remembered by his children: sons Gerry, Jr., and Guy, daughters Samantha, and Ormandy, as well as his 5 grandchildren (Andrew, Matt, Katja, Zoe and Alivia), great grandchildren and his niece and nephews (Michelle, Ted & Don and their families) who he loved as his own. His legacy lives on through his family and the many lives he touched.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a reminder that love is a gift.
