Dear Mother:
You have left us, creating a big void- but not in spirit.
All the good memories of you- just being you- will always stay with us and make us smile
We had a good run for our money! Almost 90 years! So we can't complain!
But all good things must come to an end.
Maybe we never thought about it. Just enjoyed you for the moment.
And what a happy, long ,never to be forgotten moment it was!
Always positive, cheerful, helpful, and seldom thinking about yourself. Always others!
When I was a little child you came to my room every night and sang lullabys with me.
Remember?
You made my childhood so comfortable and safe!
Later on, when circumstances left you alone with 3 children, you strove to make it work- and succeeded!
Got a job at the Arc where you became a valued and much liked member of the staff, and didn't quit
until way past becoming a senior citizen!
Later on again you took care of dad, becoming more or less a round-the-clock nurse.
May it be said that many owe so much to your kindness.
Your trip to Denmark last year will forever stay with me as a lasting memory that I will cherish, and always
look back on with fondness.
Please say hello to Far, Dorothy, Frederick, Ole Pedersen, Skip Lange, Pastor Wilson. Dr. Brodsky, and all the other
good people that we have had the pleasure to acquaint.
as for you Mother, I will try to overcome my sorrow by remembering that:
We'll meet again
Don't know where
Don't know when
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day
Rest in peace my dear Mother!
Your loving son Ole
