I was sad to read of Mr Neumann's passing - he was one of my favorite teachers in high school at Mt Elizabeth High in Kitimat. Social Studies was actually interesting! He was such a soft spoken gentle man who has left this world too soon. My condolences to all the family. Sincerely Dale (McLellan) Spence. Sechelt BC

George was easily the best of my six principals and a grand colleague and good friend. I wish I'd known he was at Arbutus

I clearly remember George Neumann teaching Grade six at Kitimat's Cormorant School fifty-six years ago.He grew a beard to celebrate B.C. Centenary in 1958!He was one of the best teachers I ever had.
My mother,Eileen Williams, was a teaching colleague at the High School in the 1960's.
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

Sorry to hear of George's passing. He was my principal at Mt Elizabeth's secondary school during the 15 years I taught math. Very well respected by teachers , students and the general public. He provided genuine leadership as well as being very accessable for any problems that may have arisen. I had the pleasure of teaching his children during my tenure at Kitimat. My heartfelt condolances to all of his children and their families.

George Neumann was a wonderful man, and a gracious principle. He attended our 10 year Grad reunion and provided many funny and personal comments about students in our class - remarkable because of the sheer number of kids that poured through that school over the years. I remember him with fondness.
