BOYCHUK, Dr. Gerry On Monday, July 12, 2004, Dr. Gerry Boychuk of St. Albert passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 61 years. Gerry is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Jeannette; daughter, Krista Keohane (Mark); his precious princess, Kathleen of Edmonton; son, Jason of St. Albert; mother, Kay Boychuk of Edmonton; brother, Dr. Rod (Paulette) of Honolulu; sister, Darlene Blackett (Dr. John) of Kelowna; brother, Dr. Darrell of Edmonton; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father, Andrew in 1999. Gerry will always be remembered by his many relatives, friends, colleagues, co-workers, and patients for his kindness, compassion, generosity, love of life, humor, and tireless energy. As well as practicing orthodontics for twenty-six years, Gerry was actively involved with community service: St. Albert Breakfast Lions Club for 29 years, Sturgeon Hospital Foundation, Associate Clinical Instructor U of A Orthodontic Program, a Past President of Edmonton and District Dental Society, a Past President of Alberta Society of Dental Specialists, a Past President of the Alberta Society of Orthodontists, and a member of numerous other dental and orthodontic associations. Family, friends, colleagues, and patients are invited to celebrate a tribute to Gerry's life on Friday, July 16, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at the Shaw Conference Centre, Hall C, 9797 Jasper Avenue. A private family interment will take place. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude and thanks to the wonderful staff at the Cross Cancer Institute. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2.
