Gertrude "Bonnie" Schultz Peyton

Gertrude "Bonnie" Schultz Peyton, 83, of Orange, died Sunday, March 14, 2010, at the Dogwood Village of Orange.

She was born September 28, 1926, in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late George W. and Edna Turbitt Shultz. She was also preceded in death by a brother, George Andrew Schultz.

Mrs. Peyton was retired from the State Department and Foreign service. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Orange, the Orange Garden Club, the Music Society of Orange County, and a volunteer at Montpelier.

She is survived by her husband, James Furnival Peyton of Orange; and a half-sister, Donna Greeley Ege of Horsham, Pennsylvania.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2010, at the St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Orange, with interment in Emmanuel Episcopal Church cemetery, Rapidan. Pastor Lin Hutton will officiate.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made in her name to the Salvation Army, 207 Ridge St., Charlottesville, VA 22902 or a charity of your choice.

Preddy Funeral Home of Orange, is in charge of arrangements.
