I am so sorry to hear of your loss. As I read all the tributes to your Mom, I can only feel like I missed an opportunity to meet someone very, very special. Gertrude was my cousin, my mother (Grace Rider Smith) is her mother's youngest sister. I feel we grew up together and my sister Joan and I loved
to spend time with her. She will remain in my memory the vibrant and active
