Gilles LIZÉE Obituary
Born April 22, 1928 in Gravelbourg, SK and passed away peacefully on March 21, 2014 at the age of 85 to go meet St Joseph and his mother after his courageous battle with cancer, diabetes, and Lewy Bodies Dementia. Predeceased by his father Valérant and his mother Rose Alma, his sisters Colette Muttat, Alice McCroary, brother Gerald and brothers-in-law Gerry McCroary & Jack LeBlanc. Gilles is survived by his beloved wife Jeannine, daughters Jasmine Moore (Kevin), Nicole (John), grandchildren Cara (McGinn), Justin & Lucas (Ivanochko), sisters & brothers; Léonne (Germain), Elaine, Ralph (Diana) and Christine along with many dear nieces, nephews, cousins & good friends. Gilles was devoted to the community through services to his church; Our Lady of Fatima, la Société du Foyer Maillard, La Caisse Populaire, and tireless dedication to helping many others in so many ways. We know he is now playing the piano for all the angels in heaven. Special thanks to Royal Columbian Hospital and St Michael's Hospice. Prayers will
be held on Wednesday March 26th at 6:30pm followed by Funeral Mass on Thursday March
27th at 3:30pm at Our Lady of Fatima, 315
Walker Street, Coquitlam. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Our Lady of Fatima Building Fund.

Thought of Gilles often after I left the Fatima community. My prayers are with Jeanine and the Family. Gilles taught me so much about French music when I first arrived and have very fond memories. He will be missed.

Our deep condolences, both on behalf of our family, and on behalf of the City of Coquitlam and City Council. Gilles worked hard for his family and community, and played a key role in "notre communauté francophone de Maillardville". My brothers and I all learned piano from Gilles, and I still think of him at the organ at Fatima. He will be missed.
