Gillian Carruthers "Jill" Hoffman

GILLIAN "JILL" CARRUTHERS HOFFMAN, 54, of Carmel, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2006. Born Dec. 6, 1951, in Liverpool, England, she was the daughter of the late Ronald and Dorothy Drury Carruthers. She was a member of the Mental Health Association and Indiana Nursing Association. The Riley Hospital For Children, Hospice and the YMCA after school program were a few of the areas where she volunteered her time. "Jill was a loving wife, mother and sister. Her passion was in bringing joy to the lives of others. Beauty in the form of flowers, family, laughter and love are what made her life special and brought a smile to her face. Jill was a friend to all." Survivors include her husband, Jay Hoffman; sons, Ryan and Bobby Hoffman; sisters, Deb Brabander, Diane Carruthers and Sue Maier; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Sammi Lucille. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Wednesday, with calling one hour prior, at Carmel United Methodist Church, of which she was a member.
