Gina David Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 17, 2025.
Gina M. David (née Veltri), age 71, passed away on August 7, 2025.

The second of six children, Gina was born January 21, 1954 in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri to Gloria M. (née Rogus) Veltri and Lt. Col. Gene E. Veltri.

Life in a military family led her to many places around the US and Europe in her early years, and her family settled in Niagara Falls in 1966. Gina graduated from Niagara Wheatfield Senior High School in 1972 and that year, she married Victor Wulkan, and together they welcomed a son, Eric. Though life took them in different directions, Gina and Victor remained devoted co-parents to their son.

Gina spent her early career working on the Air Base at the AAFES Exchange but may have been best known in the Niagara Falls area as "The Clinique Lady" during her years at (Summit Park) AM&A's and BonTon. With her sharp wit and spunky attitude, she built lasting connections with customers and colleagues alike. In the mid-2000s, Gina worked to write a new chapter of life in San Antonio, Texas, with her husband, Paul David, whom she affectionately called "Babycakes." Together they shared a happy life with their beloved cats, who were as much family to her as anyone with two legs.

Gina was predeceased by her beloved Paul "Babycakes" David, of San Antonio, TX; parents, Gloria and Gene; and two brothers, Carl and Bob Veltri, Gina is survived by her son, Eric (Alana) Wulkan; granddaughter Kyla Wulkan, and step-granddaughter, Cece Lasher, of Ransomville, NY; stepsons Ian (Lexi), Brandon and Alec David of Lewiston, NY; brothers Mark Veltri, of Charlotte, NC; Curt Veltri of Tampa, FL; sister, Paula Veltri, of Niagara Falls, NY; nephews Christopher (Erica) Veltri of Jacksonville, NC, William and Ryan Veltri of Niagara Falls, as well as a number of great nieces and nephews; cherished mother-in-law, Mary David, sister-in-law, Marie (nee David) Deats, niece Haley Deats, and nephew Hunter Deats all of San Antonio, TX.

Gina's family takes comfort in knowing her life and love live on in the myriad stories and countless photos she leaves behind, the family she cherished, and every cat that finds a safe place to land. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the American Lung Association or the ASPCA. Memorial service details to be announced privately at a later date.
