DIAZ, Mary Mary Patterson Diaz of 935 N. Halifax Ave., Apt. 1001 N., Daytona Beach, FL 32118 passed away at Volusia/ Flager, West Care Center, Orange City, Fl on January 12, 2008. She was 82. She was the husband of Ernest Joseph Diaz, Daytona Beach, Fl. She is survived by 3 sons, Louis Diaz and wife Karen, Lawrenceville, Ga., Ernest M. Diaz, Covington, Ga., and Robert J. Diaz, Oxford, Ga. She was the daughter of Louis David Patterson and Leonie Lee Patterson both deceased. She is also survived by a sister, Martha Waggoner, Nashville, TN, a brother, Louis Alexander Patterson, Pine Mountain, Ga. and 3 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Patterson. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Michaels and All Angels Episcopal Church, Stone Mountain, Ga. and Chapter #148 O E S, Decatur, GA. She was born in Seminole Co., Ga. on May 8, 1925 and resided several years in Daytona Beach, Fl. Graveside services will be held Saturday, January 19, 2008 at 1:00 PM at Blakely Cemetery. Rev. Mark Jones officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 until 1 PM.
