1935-2011
Suddenly passed away with his loving family by his side on September 2, 2011. Beloved husband of Maria for fifty-one years. Devoted father of Natale, Sandra (Adam), Sonia (Roberto) and Natasha (Alberto). Proud Nonno of Gioia, Felicia, Juliano, Roberto Jr., Trystan and Leticia. He will also be missed by many other relatives and dear friends. Giovanni was a respected media personality and member of the Italian community.
His family will receive condolences on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources Blvd, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, (514) 685-3344. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Notre-Dame de la Defense Church, 6800 Henri-Julien, Montreal. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
He will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Ti amiamo.

When i was young, zio Gianni was my "uncle from America", and every time he visited us in Italy, we had big big party with all the family.
I'd like to remember him in this way, smiling with all the gifts he had carried for me from Canada.

I will always remember my dear uncle Gianni.We have met few times in our lives but he made me feel loved and part of the family as he had lived near me day by day.Always smiling,affectionate and kind.I will never forget him.

My deepest condolences to Mrs. Gargiulo, Natale, Sandra, Sonia and Natasha along with the rest of the family. Watching my bestfriend with her dad- their bond was undeniable. A man who loved his wife and children, and then grandchildren more than anything. Thank you Mr. Gargiulo for always me feel like a part of the family. You will be greatly missed.
