GAFFNEY, S.C. - Gladys Summitt McCurry, 67, formerly of Gastonia, passed away March 30, 2011, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, Spar-tanburg, S.C.

Gladys was a native of Gaston County, daughter of the late Lee Benjamin and Neely Evans Summitt and sister of the late Leon Summitt.

Gladys retired from Pharr Yarns.

Survivors include her daughter, Sonja Stiles and husband Yancy of Gaffney; grandchildren, Heather Wyatt and husband Brett of Gaffney, Logan Stiles of Matthews; sister, Jane Holman and husband Joe of Gastonia; special cousins, Barbara Pennington, Toni S. Long; nieces and nephews and special pets, Riley and Sissy.

The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Friday at McLean Funeral Directors of Gastonia.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Founders Chapel of McLean Funeral Directors. Pastor Lewis Gunn Jr. will officiate.

Interment will be in Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home and their staff for their love and care given to Gladys and her family.
