Gladys Pippin Jenkins

Gladys Mae Pippin Jenkins , born on April 4, 1940, in Roanoke, Texas, to Audie Mae Lucas and William James Ezra Pippin, passed away peacefully on November 14, 2024, in Keller, Texas, after a short illness.

A graduate of Birdville High School, in Haltom City. Gladys married Benny Ray Jenkins in 1960. They had two daughters. Over the years, she dedicated herself to a variety of meaningful careers. She worked as a preschool teacher and a life insurance agent before spending the last 14 years of her professional life as the activity director at Meadow Creek Nursing Center. Her work brought joy and comfort to many.

Gladys was deeply devoted to her faith and lived a life of service to others. She volunteered with Meals for the Elderly, the Humane Society, and her church community. Known for her love of cooking and sharing meals with loved ones, Gladys found joy in both preparing food and savoring it with those around her.

She is survived by her daughters Jami Brumfield and husband Ken, and Traci Hoelscher and husband Scott; as well as seven cherished grandchildren: James (J.B.), Jonathan, Joshua, and Joseph Brumfield; A.J., Reagan, and Sarah Hoelscher. She is also survived by her sister Peggy Pippin. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepmother Gertrude Pippin, brothers Donald Wayne, James Albert, and Jim Pippin and grandson Matthew Hoelscher.

Gladys's warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith left an indelible mark on all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she touched throughout her remarkable life.

A memorial service will be held 12/28/2024 at 11:00 am at Keller United Methodist Church, 1025 Johnson Rd., Keller Texas 76248. A reception will follow the service.
