June 7, 2014 – Calgary, Alberta
Glee, beloved wife of Jim Holden of Calgary, AB, passed away on June 7, 2014 at the age of 69 years. Glee was born and raised in Moose Jaw, SK where she attended secretarial college. Glee moved to Calgary where she met Jim and they were married on May 15, 1981 and spent 33 love filled years together. Glee loved to volunteer for minor hockey, and was a member of the CWL at St. Bernard's Catholic Church. She also helped coordinate the Mayor's Environment Expo when she worked for the City of Calgary. Glee loved dogs, especially Brittany Spaniels, and to cook for her family. Her biggest passion in life was being a wife, mother and grandmother, and giving the best hugs ever. She will be missed dearly by all those that knew her. Besides her loving husband, Glee is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Cory and Silke Holden; daughter-in-law, Kim MacKinnon; her former husband, Clive Craig; grandchildren Ben, Mia, Madison; sister and brother-in-law, Donna (Ken Stokstad) and Garry Steel; nieces and nephew, Richard, Shelley (Jason Cornford) and Robin; and her great-niece, Chancey Steel (Matthias Jobs and their son Dominic Steel-Jobs), and great- nephew Devin Cote. She was predeceased by her son, Michael and her niece, Nadine. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bernard's Catholic Church (711 - 37 Street N.W.) today, June 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow the Service. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In living memory of Glee Holden, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.

I knew Glee from St. Bernard's. She was a close friend of my mom, Theresa Buzik, until her death Aug. 26, 2011. I had many long philosophical phone conversations with Glee, and I designed her personal letterhead when she was president of the CWL. She was a wonderful woman. I will really miss her. I knew of her good times, and sad ones too. Bless her spirit

Dear Jim: know in your heart my family and I are all sad in the loss of Glee. We all have fond memories and stories to share of this fun loving lady from camping trips to gourmet dinners. Jim, Cory and family. I am so sorry to hear about Glee. She was such a loving and caring person. I will never forget how protective she was of me when work was so busy and trying to manage drop in visitors. She was like a mama bear and I will miss her happy soul.

Saddened to hear of Glee's passing. One of my favourite memories was when Michael(Bubba) pulled her from the bleachers to play slo pitch to avoid a forfeit. She was a giving person always supporting her family and those he cared about. She has found peace now that she can see her baby boy Michael in heaven. Our condolences to Jim, Cory and the family. Jim & Family...there is no doubt in our minds that Glee has already taken her seat in the VIP section of the hometown Heavenly Kingdom Ice Arena. With her cow bell placed at the ready, her jersey, hat, scarf and flag proudly and passionately displayed, all in anticipation of the first drop of the puck. Don't worry Jim, Glee is on God's team now…she is truly at peace…at least until the puck drops! God bless you and your family during this difficult time. Glee will always be in our hearts and minds.
