Glen Bacus Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 8, 2025.
Wichita Falls - Glen Lee Bacus of Wichita Falls, Texas, formerly of Sudbury, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly on October 6, 2025, at the age of 55. He was born on January 23, 1970, in Mountain View, California.

Glen was a man of incredible creativity, warmth, and generosity. His artistic spirit and humor touched everyone who knew him. A gifted painter, Glen poured his heart into his artwork, creating vivid pieces that danced with color and energy. His Pop modernistic style reflected the way he saw the world - full of wonder, imagination, and life. His paintings and art projects, which can be found throughout Wichita Falls, often explored themes of animals, nature, space, time, and pattern, inviting others to see beauty in unexpected places.

Beyond his art, Glen found joy in simple pleasures and lifelong passions. He was an avid collector of baseball cards, each one a treasured link to the game and its history. A devoted fan of all things Boston sports, Glen cheered on his teams with unwavering loyalty and enthusiasm. He loved following every season - the highs, the heartbreaks, and the unforgettable victories. Glen took great joy in watching the Boston Celtics capture their most recent championship, relishing every game and celebrating as if he were right there courtside. He admired the incredible dynasty of the New England Patriots, appreciating not just the wins but the sense of pride and excellence they brought to New England. One of his most cherished memories was attending the 2004 World Series with his brother - witnessing a win in the series when the Red Sox broke the "Curse of the Bambino" after 86 years.

Glen moved to Wichita Falls, TX, in 2001 and built a remarkable 23-year career at KFDX TV-3, where he most recently served as Promotions Director. Through his creativity, eye for design, and deep sense of storytelling, Glen helped shape the station's visual identity and community presence. His colleagues admired his professionalism, humor, and passion for his work - qualities that made every day working with him memorable. In recognition of his outstanding contributions, Glen was honored as the 2024 Employee of the Year, a reflection of the respect and appreciation he earned from everyone around him.

Those who knew Glen will remember his quick wit, mischievous humor, thoughtfulness, and the way he saw the extraordinary in the everyday. Whether he was discussing a new art project, creating a legendary blooper reel, reminiscing over Red Sox, Celtics, and Patriots championships, or sharing a quiet moment with friends, Glen brought light, humor, and creativity into every space he entered.

Glen is survived by his mother, Chinney Rosenberg, and her husband, Theodore Rosenberg, of Delray Beach, FL; his father, Kenneth Bacus, of Mount Prospect, IL; his brother, Michael Bacus, and his partner, Daisy Powers, of Wayland, MA; and his niece, Hanna Bacus, of Maynard, MA. He was deeply loved by his family, and by the hundreds of cherished friends, coworkers, and members of the local art community whose lives he touched.

Friends and family may donate in Glen's memory to the Wichita Falls Alliance for Arts and Culture at https://wichitafallsarts.org/

Left far too soon, with so many paintings and pranks to do, and cats to help.
