Glenda Grace "Burgett" Catanzano, 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on 5/5/2023. Glenda was born on 11/15/1952 to Roy and Tootie Burgett in Des Moines. She received her GED in 1972. She married Gene Schwartzman in 1973 and they had one son. Gene passed away in 1980. Glenda later married Dave Catanzano in 1994.

Glenda belonged to a pool and bowling league, going to Las Vegas for both to compete. When she was younger she was an excellent softball player.

Glenda enjoyed kids and did childcare in her home for over 30 years taking care of family and friends. Playing cards with her family was one of her favorite things. She loved going to Prairie Meadows with her mother-in-law, Marge.

Glenda was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Tootie, her sister Joann and her brother Doug.

She is survived by her husband Dave, son Willie Schwartzman, stepsons Chris (Sammy), and Josh (Christine) Catanzano, 7 grandchildren and one great grand daughter.

There will be a celebration of life on Friday May 26 from 11am - 1pm.

I will miss you so much. You are not only my daughter but my best friend. We shared many good memories together and especially the many telephone conversations we shared. Rest in peace in our Lord's arms. "I will always Love you Longer". MOM
