Glenda Dale Cordle COWARD, SC- Glenda Dale Beaghan Cordle, 67, born July 2, 1943, died at the McLeod Hospice House, Tuesday, March 1, 2011. A memorial service will be Friday evening, March 4, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. The family will speak to visitors after the service. Interment will follow on Monday, March 7, 2011 in South Hill, Virginia. Glenda was born in Shenandoah, Virginia, the daughter of the late Glen-wood E. and Clarice M Pence Beaghan. She work-ed at Levi Straus in the 60's,was Ombudsman as a Navy Family Counselor in Bahrain in the 70's. In the 80's she was a Seamstress at Marlowe and Aires Manufacturing and was a Embroider with Mirage Promotions in Florence, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Navy Veteran Bobby G. Cordle Survivors are her daughter, Sherry Lynn Cordle, Florence and grand-daughter, Taylor Lynn Bruton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, C/O Glenda Cordle Fund. Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, 4210 W. Palmetto Street, Florence is assisting the family with arrangements.
