Edmond - Glenda Lou Donnell Clanahan (June 20, 1942 - February 11, 2025) passed away February 11, 2025. Glenda Lou was born June 20, 1942 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Donnell, her mother, Glennis Donnell, her sister, Beverley Clark, and nephew, Steve Clark. She is survived by her husband, Richard Clanahan, daughter and son-in-law, Traci Patterson McElyea and Douglas McElyea and son, Cris Patterson and wife Denise, son Tyler Clanahan and daughter Brecklyn Clanahan. Glenda Lou also has six grandchildren: Jordyn McElyea, Piercen McElyea, Carter Patterson, Rylie Patterson, Kinsley Clanahan and Kelton Clanahan. Glenda Lou grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Northwest Classen High School in 1960. She attended Oklahoma City University. She then attended Oklahoma State University to rebel against her parents pushing her to go to the University of Oklahoma! Glenda Lou worked as a legal secretary at the Attorney General of Oklahoma's office. She was a Real Estate Broker, worked for her dad's company, Donnell Typewriter Company with her mom and dad then moved to the title and abstract companies. She worked at First American Title Insurance Company, Oklahoma City Abstract & Title Company and Capitol Abstract & Title Company. She finally retired in 2008. Glenda Lou was an AVID OU Football Fan and ran her weekends in the fall around the football schedule. She also enjoyed many trips to her favorite vacation spot, Maui, with her high school sweetheart and love of her life. A memorial graveside service will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 1:00 at Spring Creek Memorial Cemetery, 14300 N. County Line Road, Oklahoma City. Special thanks to Choice Home Health, Choice Hospice and Jasmine Estates Edmond Memory Care for all their compassion, love and guidance during Glenda Lou's years with Dementia.
