Glenda Wethington Obituary

Glenda Kay Wethington passed away Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. She was 57. Born May 5, 1957 in Taylor County, she was the daughter of James and Eldora Beard Allen of Campbellsville. She was a homemaker and member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, Glenda Kay is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Wethington of Casey Creek; two sons, Jeremy (and Beth) Wethington and Casey (and Shannon) Wethington, both of Knifley; a daughter, Kristy (and Nick) Bright of Knifley; three grandchildren, Maddie Ray Wethington, Ellie MayAnn Wethington and Sadie Kay Bright; a step-grandchild, Jimmy Anderson; two brothers, Ronnie Allen and James Rex "Bubby" Allen, both of Campbellsville; three sisters, Vickie Quinn and Sandra Cissell both of Campbellsville and Shannon Gilbert of Georgetown; and a host nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Troy Wethington. Funeral services were Oct. 6 at St. Bernard Catholic Church with Rev. Edmond Ani officiating. Burial was in St. Bernard Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with guestbook available online at www.mckinneybrown.com.
