Glenn Howard was my very best friend! I met him in August 1971 as a new student at UCA. I remember his funny walk, how he'd brighten things up around the dinner table, how he dated about every single new girl who stepped into our circle of friends and made us all feel special. Then he and Beth were married and moved away, but he'd still show up on our doorstep at the least expected time. We remained friends for 32 years, sharing fix-up jobs (Glenn'd come to help Jerry and we'd go to help at his house.), holiday celebrations, band concerts, ballgames, graduations for our children, funerals for our parents, pride in our children, concern for jobs, family, friends.
Then when my husband, Jerry, died unexpectedly in 1999, Glenn stepped in to help me pick up the pieces of our lives, offering somfort, support, and love beyound measure. He helped us with so many chores and decisions, sometimes just by being here while I worked through the problems.
Yes, we loved Glenn dearly and wll miss him painfully. But I am thankful for many wonderful, happy memories.
And I am praying for Beth, David, Erin, and Emily as they face the future. I hope they will feel the same comfort in knowing that they have the support and love of family and friends and special memories to sustain them.
Much Love,
Linda Gilbert-- and Benjamin, Jonathan, and Matthew

Howard family,
Our prayers and thoughts are with you. We really appreciate how you made us feel welcome and included Marcy in Social events. Glenn always had a joke or hug to share. He was usually to be found at the Park Hill men's meal functions helping. We enjoyed his work with the sign committee and his comradery in choir. We are thankful for the many shared memories.

My condolences go out to Glenn's family in this trying time. I went to school at Baptist with Glenn and I got to know him well. He was kind, generous, giving of his time if someone needed help in one of our classes. He was funny as well as a sweet person. His presence in class is sorely missed.

Dear Glenn Howard family,
What an honor to have worked with Glenn at Baptist. He was always there with a smiling face and such a willing heart. He never missed an opportunity to show the Lord in his concern for others. I am so thankful to have known him and hope that knowing he touch so many you can have comfort. May the verse that has given me comfort through trials give you also, Phil 4:6-7. With many prayers, Jackie Turner
