Born 10/23/1940 in Yancey, KY – Died 2/15/19 in Russellville, TN
Glenn was the second child born to Eugene and Dora Owens, he was oldest of their 3 sons. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings. Glenn is also preceded in death by his loving wife of more than 50 years. Glenn and Jan had 2 sons, Scott and Ben, and 2 Grandchildren Hunter and Haley. Glenn loved his family, fishing with his buddies, and going to the cabins for Christmas. He was an avid sports fan, and loved working with his church, Manley Baptist. His strong faith saw him through this life, he never complained and was a positive influence to many. At 3:28am on 2/15/19, Glenn went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and waiting on the other side for him was Jan. Glenn was Realtor with Crye*Leike Lakeway Real Estate.
Glenn is survived by son, Scott and Valerie Owens, his grandchildren Hunter and Haley Owens, and Hunter's fiance' Haleigh Riddick; son, Ben Owens and his family Heather Presley, and 3 very special grand-girls Sydney, Presley and Maddie, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Memorial services are to be held at Manley Baptist Church in Morristown, TN on Sunday February 17, 2019 at 5:30pm. Receiving of friends will be from 4:00pm until 5:30. Rev. Tony Buchanan and Rev. Alan Duncan officiating.
