Glenn M. Sutphin, Jr, 72, of Annapolis, MD passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017. He was born on February 28, 1945 to the late Glenn and Carrie Sutphin. Glenn was a lifelong Annapolitian who graduated from Annapolis High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a registered property line surveyor and worked most recently for Messick and Associates from where he retired. Glenn enjoyed history, traveling and above all else his family. He had been a member of Centerpoint Church of Annapolis for the past three years. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Buster Sutphin. Glenn is survived by his wife, of 23 years, Nancy Sutphin; three sons, Glenn Michael (Susan), Shannon (Melissa), Eric (Mary); two stepchildren, William (Amy) Davidson, Lori (Rob) Fowler; nine grandchildren, Tessa, Aidan, Nathaniel, Mikaela, Kaitlyn, William, Josiah and Steph as well as Gabrielle and Christopher who were raised by Glenn and Nancy; a sister Irma Jones; and Ramona Sutphin his previous wife. Friends are invited to celebrate Glenn's life on Friday, November 24 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Rd., Edgewater, MD. A service will be held on Saturday, November 25 at 10 am at Centerpoint Church, 901 Commerce Rd., Annapolis. Interment to follow at Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Centerpoint Church, 626C Admiral Drive, Box 517, Annapolis, MD 21401. On line condolences can be left at

I am so honored that you were my "Uncle" and friend who I could talked to....you are a very great man who I will love and remember for all of my life, I know you are no longer in pain and in a good place but I will miss you so but know you will always be in my heart with great memories...I love you !!
