Glenn Wintrich Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 7, 2025.
Glenn Charles Wintrich III, 49, passed away on April 28, 2025, in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Born on October 30, 1975, in Banbury, England, Glenn brought joy and laughter to every corner of the world he touched.

Glenn was a devoted husband to Shelly Kerr, his wife and best friend. Their bond was one of deep companionship and shared joy. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He was also a proud and loving father to three children: Emma Wintrich, Ellie Wintrich, and Glenn Wintrich IV. His children were the light of his life, and he embraced fatherhood with unwavering dedication and warmth. Glenn also welcomed and cared for his step-sons, Nate and Ty Kerr, with kindness and a generous heart, forming meaningful bonds that enriched their blended family.

He is also remembered by his parents, Glenn Wintrich Jr. (Vickie) and Patti Lovely (Charlie); his sister, Samantha Fraga; his brother, David Wintrich (Maryann) as well as many lifelong friends and members of his cherished running family. Glenn's circle of loved ones was wide and enduring-he had a unique ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued.

Known for his infectious energy and boundless humor, Glenn was truly the life of every party. His presence guaranteed laughter and lightheartedness. Whether sharing stories or simply being himself, he had a way of lifting spirits wherever he went. His big heart left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.

Glenn lived life with passion and purpose. He embraced each day fully-whether spending time with Shelly, cheering on his children's accomplishments, or enjoying the camaraderie of his lifelong buddies and running community. His kindness was matched only by his zest for life.

Glenn proudly served his country for three years in the United States Army before continuing his commitment to public service as a civilian employee with the United States Air Force for 19 years. Most recently, he worked as an Operations Research Analyst at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. His work allowed him to contribute in meaningful ways and build lasting connections with colleagues who deeply valued his insight, kindness, and integrity.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Lodge at VOA, located at 7850 Voice of America Park in West Chester, Ohio. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor and remember Glenn, sharing stories, laughter, and fond memories as we celebrate a life well lived.

For 25 years, Glenn was not just a friend but a constant source of laughter, wisdom, and good conversation. He was one of the few I shared all my news with-the good, the bad, and the downright hilarious. His retirement spreadsheet talk always made me smile, a perfect example of the mix of practicality and humor that made him so special.

Glenn reminded me-and everyone lucky enough to know him-that adult friendships are invaluable. Life is simply better with a friend in tow, and he was that kind of friend-the kind who made the everyday better. His absence leaves a void, but his warmth, humor, and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Condolences to his beloved wife, Shelly, his children, his family, and the many, many friends who were fortunate enough to call him their own. Glenn, you are deeply missed.
