Glenna Marie Anderson

Glenna Marie Anderson, age 55 of McGaheysville, VA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 12, 2016, at her home. She was born on September 19, 1960, in Harrisonburg, VA, the daughter of Glenn Dahmer of Franklin, WV, and the late Marie Dahmer. On May 23, 2006, Glenna married Calvin Curtis Anderson, Jr., who survives in McGaheysville.

Mrs. Anderson was a 1978 graduate of Franklin High School and was a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. She was employed by R. R. Donnelley in Harrisonburg, VA, for over 15 years. She enjoyed traveling, especially going to the beach and NASCAR races. Glenna collected snowmen and was a huge Jeff Gordon fan.

In addition to her husband and father, Mrs. Anderson is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Armentrout and husband, Charles of Circleville, WV; 2 grandsons, Caleb and Ty Armentrout of Circleville; a step-daughter, Bridget Anderson of Harrisonburg; 2 step-sons, Curtis Anderson, III, of Raleigh, NC, and Shaun Anderson of Richmond, VA; a sister, Pamela Hartman of Franklin, WV; a brother, Rodney Dahmer of Franklin; 2 nieces, Stacy Swain and husband, Jason of Capon Bridge, WV, and Myra Lipscomb and husband, Joshua of Pennsboro, WV; a great-nephew, Braxton Swain; and a great-niece, Emree Lipscomb.

Mrs. Anderson's family will receive friends on Friday, January 15, 2016, 6-8 PM at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin, WV. Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Walter Mullins officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin.
