Gloria Ann Blandford

Gloria H. Blandford passed peacefully on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, NH.
Gloria was born in Lynn Massachusetts on February 3, 1938, the daughter of Richard A. and Alice L. (Smith) Hubbs. She was a graduate of Malden High in Massachusetts and attended Vesper George School of Art in Boston. As a lover of art, Gloria used her talent to paint many beautiful nature scenes, flowers, and birds.
Gloria's husband of 39 years, Mark H. Blandford, passed in 1998. Gloria met her husband Mark in Boston. After they married, they moved to Manchester NH where they started a family. In 1966 they bought their only home in Concord.
Gloria was a loving wife and mother. She worked as a homemaker, caretaker, and bank worker. As an active member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist in Concord, she served as Treasurer for 15 years.
Gloria is survived by her son Brian R. Blandford and his wife Ruth, of Norwood MA; daughter Roselyn B. Mirante and her husband Joseph, of Penacook, NH; granddaughter Amanda Harwood and her husband Zachariah of Brattleboro VT; granddaughter Alyssa McDaniel and her husband Timothy of Andover, NH; granddaughter Jessica Blandford of Stoneham MA; grandson Eric Mirante of Penacook NH; and four great grand-children.
Donations in lieu of flowers and/or memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of Christ, Scientist, 33 School St., Concord, NH 03301. A memorial service will be held at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main St., Concord, NH on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 11 a.m.
