ODESSA A wonderful Loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister is now in the Loving Arms of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Gloria P. Chaidez 75, of Odessa passed away Thursday, May 14, 2009, at Medical Center Hospital.

She was born December 10, 1933 in Fort Stockton, Texas, to Lorenzo and Agustina Costello Pineda.

Ms. Chaidez was a Christian and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Chaidez; parents; and brothers, Raymond Pineda and Blas Pineda.

She is survived by sons, Manuel Pineda and wife Randi of Odessa, Blas Rangel and wife Pat of Odessa, Timo Ybarra and wife Rosie of Odessa, Sammy Rangel and wife Stella of San Antonio, Texas, and Pete Garcia of Odessa; daughters, Nancy Baca and husband Daniel of Odessa, Manuela Ybarra and Mary Belle Gonzalez, both of Odessa; brothers, Leonard Garcia Sr. and Lorenzo Pineda Sr. both of Odessa; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; special friends, Angel and Eloisa Flores of Odessa; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and lots of friends.

We the Chaidez family would like to take this time and, with a heartfelt embrace, thank each and every one of you for all your prayers, floral, food offerings and especially your presence with us during this most difficult time. A Special Gratitude to all the staff on the 8th floor of Medical Center Hospital for all the Wonderful Caring Love given to our Mother Gloria. May God Bless You all Abundantly.

Pallbearers will be Manuel Pineda, Blas Rangel, Timo Ybarra, Sammy Rangel, Lorenzo Pineda Jr. and Joey Baca.

A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at Odessa Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marcos Zuniga officiating. Burial will follow at Ector County Cemetery Rosehill Section.

Services are by Odessa Funeral Home.
