GLORIA GARAY Obituary
Gloria Castaneda Garay born November 17, 1931 to parents Ysabel Castaneda and Aurelia Gomez, entered into eternal rest on October 23, 2019 at the age of 87. Gloria was preceded in death by her father, Ysabel Castaneda; mother, Aurelia Gomez; ex-spouse, Joe M. Garay; son, Joe C. Garay; brothers, Gilbert and Rudy Castaneda; and sisters, Aurora Campa and Alicia Nunez. She is survived by her son, Robert C. Garay; daughters, Mary Esther Marin, Herlinda Loza and Adela Leija; sister, Esther C. Cortinas, 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Gloria loved the outdoors and enjoyed walking the Malls. Gloria was a devoted church going person and praised the Lord with her love and faith. She was a great person to be around with. Gloria and her Sisters-in-Christ would visit the sick at hospitals and would pray over them. Funeral services are as follows:
Tuesday - October 29, 2019: Visitation 4-9pm at Texas Funeral Home Chapel, 2702 Castroville Rd. San Antonio, Texas 78237 with a family provided Christian prayer service at 7pm.
Wednesday - October 30, 2019: Family and friends will meet at 11:00am at San Fernando Cemetery II, 746 Castroville Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78237 for the Graveside service.
