Gloria McKeigan

McKEIGAN, Gloria (nee Davey) 1930-2008 Gloria lived in Poppleton, Yorkshire, England, until she came to Canada in 1948. She loved life, her precious family and friends and faced her impending death on November 28, 2008, at the age of 77, with a sense of humour, courage and dignity. Loving mother of Bruce (Brenda) McKeigan, Karen McKeigan, Sharon McKeigan, Jim McKeigan, all of Ottawa, and Wendy (Milton) Laing of Edmonton. Survived by sister Jane (Ron) Hill in England. Grandmother of Jody-Lynn Barker, Crockett (Melissa) Sarazin, Danny (Tracy) Sarazin, Alexandra (Jason) Colter, Joshua (Kathryn) McKeigan, all of Ottawa, and Kirt (Sonya) Murray of Alberta, Stephanie Murray, of Edmonton, Brendan McKeigan and Jenna McKeigan of Ottawa. Great grandmother of Jessica-Lynn Barker, Keigan Sarazin, Deveney McKeigan, Dalaina Colter and Carter Keigan Murray. Gloria was a former employee at the Department of National Defence (1958-1992), and a part time employee at The Ottawa Citizen (1967-1980). She enjoyed square dancing and line dancing. Her hobby was acrylic painting for the family. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road, Nepean (Between Bayshore Dr. and Baseline Rd.) on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday at 10:00 am.
