Gloria O'Connor Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 21, 2017.
Gloria O'Connor peacefully left this earth to go to heaven after a long illness on January 17th, 2017.

Gloria was born in 1931 to Giuseppe and Ausilia Villani, and spent her childhood on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx, New York where she eventually met the love of her life, Jack. After marriage, they lived in Yorktown Heights, New York with their two sons. They eventually moved to Port St. Lucie, Florida where they both became active members of St. Bernadette's Church.
Gloria and Jack were strong supporters to St. Bernadette's Catholic Church. Gloria was very devoted and participated in many parish events including those associated with the building of the new church. She had many hobbies which she loved including painting, poetry, making greeting cards and playing the organ
and accordion.

Gloria is survived by her sons John and Kevin and their families, as well as her sisters.

There will be a viewing at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church in Port St. Lucie at 9am on Thursday, January 26th followed immediately by a funeral mass at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Saint Bernadette Catholic Church, Port St. Lucie.

Arrangements under the direction of Aycock Funeral Home, Port St Lucie, FL.

My mother, Vivian, was a friend of Gloria's from Yorktown Heights, New York and they remained friends even after they both moved from New York to Florida. My mother will miss Gloria very much - may she rest in peace.
