Gloria and Martin were good friends of my parents (Edith and Saul Karelis) while living in Haverhill. That generation is now gone but they would be so proud of their children and grandchildren they left behind. Memories live on.

I met Gloria at Zarrow where I visited on Wednesdays from 2011-2016. I got to visit with her often. I enjoyed our conversations and her insights on so many things. She was a talented and strong woman. In a family with several highly accomplished men, she held her own and supported them all as well! Her memory will always be a blessing.

My condolences to the family. How wonderful Mrs. Rothman and Dr. Rothman lived long and love filled lives. Dr. Rothman was my childhood doctor. I remember him coming to the house many times when I was very sick. My mother used to make him a cup of coffee and he would show so much care. I had a serious health issue and he sent me to Mass General in Boston where I had two life saving operations at age six and nine. I have such gratitude that he was my doctor. I´m sure I met and talked to his wife during those years though I can´t remember. Her art is beautiful and her drawing of Dr Rothman is exactly as I remember him. May she Rest In Peace.

As a freshman in highschool back in 1972-73, I had the incredible good fortune to work for the Rothman´s in their Haverhill, Ma medical practice as an office assistant. Mrs. Rothman was effectively my boss-she was an early example of a female leader when there weren´t too many of those to emulate and my after school job there provided a great deal of influence on my own career trajectory. May Gloria´s memory be for a blessing.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. Please take comfort in the words found at Isaiah 61: 1,2.
