Gloria Jean Vickery

Gloria Jean Vickery passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, after a period of declining health. Born on June 29, 1940, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Gloria was 85 years old. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Ruth Fleenor and father, Eugene Paul Fleenor, and Sister, Carolyn. She is survived by two children, son Charles (Michele) Turner of Orrville, Ohio and Cheryl Laird of Metairie, Louisiana. Also are six grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica) Turner, Michael (Samantha) Turner, Lauren Laird, Alex turner, Alyssa (Tanner) Hostetler and Mark Laird; Six great grandchildren, Ayla, Maddox, Addy, Myles, Emma and Benjamin.

Gloria was a retired interior decorator and licensed by the state board of Florida Architecture & Interior Design. Gloria lived a life full of creativity and inspiration and worked tirelessly throughout her 30-year career, bringing talents that transformed space into works of art. As an interior designer for multimillion-dollar homes in Florida, she left her mark on countless residences, shaping not only the way people lived but also how they felt in their most personal spaces. Her career was more than a profession-it was an expression of her artistic soul, her attention to detail, and her ability to see beauty where others could not.

But her legacy extends far beyond her career - her life was a tapestry woven with creativity, resilience, and love. She leaves behind not only the beautiful spaces she designed but also the beautiful lives she touched. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the memories we cherish and the lessons she taught us about elegance, hard work, and the importance of enjoying life through her own travels.

Gloria was a woman of impeccable taste who also was an avid reader and enjoyed visiting her children and grandchildren.
