Goldie M. Smith

COSHOCTON: Goldie Marie (Price) Smith, 89, a resident of Autumn Healthcare, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011 at the care center.

She was born August 17, 1921 in Smithfield, WV to the late Sam and Rhoda (Wycuff) Price. On May 1, 1953, she married Donald Alfred Smith, who preceded her in death on April 12, 2011. Goldie enjoyed gardening, flowers, and reading.

She is survived by five children, Jim Smith of Coshocton, Tom (Laura) Smith of Warsaw, Sally Ronald (Christine) of New Philadelphia, Ruth Strange of Warsaw, and Kathy (Roger) Perdue of Coshocton; six grandchildren, Rich & Lee Ronald, Sheila Strange, Jessica Greir, and Donald & David Perdue; six great grandchildren, Varenna, Blake, Gavin, Connor, Skyler, and Tristan, and a sister, Bertha Price.

In addition to her parents and husband; she is preceded in death by two sisters, Ellie Stout & Gladys Price; and six brothers, Howard, John, Elias, Joe, Bob, & Ray Price. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Ron Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Darling Run Cemetery. Calling hours are two hours prior to service time at the funeral home.

i have so many fun memories of being at don and goldies and i loved her spaghetti! i will say extra prayers for the family.

i will surely keep goldie and dons family in my prayers. i loved your parents as though they where my own family. i have many fond memories of them at autumn health care center and they will be both sadly missed. may god bless you all!
