Born February 7, 1929 and passed away February 12, 2017. Predeceased by his parents Gordon Allan Bayne and Edith Mary Stormont, and his brother Donald. Survived by his brothers Robert (Kay), George (Jane) and Jim (Lydia). He was the loving husband of 62 years to the late Mary Paulina Smith. Devoted father of the late Shawn (Laurie) and of Daniel (Jennifer), and Paul (Pam). Proud grandfather of Jonathan (Jennifer), Cory (Sarah), Eric, Emma (Jeff), Samantha, and Ash. Great-grandfather of Riley, Ethan, Blake and Corbyn. He was a proud member of the GGFG (1943-1947); a Chief Warrant Officer of the RCR, 1st Battalion, a Veteran of the Korean War, as well as many peacekeeping missions (1948-1976); and an employee for 16 years at the Bank of Canada. Friday, February 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Saturday, February 18 to Immaculate Heart of Mary, 1758 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa, ON K1G 0G6 for Mass of Christian Funeral at 10 a.m. Interment Capital Memorial Gardens. Hello Dan
This is Nancy( Urwin) Adams. We were friends in the late 70's and 80's. I am so sorry for your loss. It is diffucult to see our parents pass. I remember your Mom and Dad being very kind and loving to my Son and I during that time. They were wonderful people. I will always remember you with tenderness and kindness. Your brother Paul and his wife were kind too. My Love and thoughts are with you all.
I took care of my Mom tol she died in 2011. We will miss our Parents!

Sincere condolences to the Bayne-Stormont and associated families. I've known Tunney all my life and was more than a cousin, he and Pauline I considered as being my uncle and aunt, as there was a generation between us. He will always be our hero.
