"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you would walk with me all the way; but I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why in times when I needed you the most you should leave me.
The Lord replied, my precious, precious child. I love you, and I would never, never leave you during your times of trial and suffering. When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

Dearest Daddy,

It's been just over a year since you've been called back home. There is not a day that goes by that something or someone reminds me of you. Everyday I thank my Heavenly Father for you. I miss you so much it hurts. The frogs we have around our house remind me of you, each piece of mail that comes for you is a constant of you in our lives.

Heaven is that much brighter since you have gone home. I know for a certainty that we will see each other once again. Families Are Forever.

I love you daddy. Sending you hugs and kisses.

My Daddy loved cars. My earliest memory was of him working at Honolulu Ford. He had this Baracuda car. We lived at Kapahulu then. He parked the car at the end of the driveway. At the end of the driveway were boulders separating a gully and the apartments. I remember us getting in and playing like we were driving. I must have been about 4 and Nani 6. We ened up putting the car in neutral and the car started rolling back. It hit the boulders. I remember my Dad upset and I'm sure we got lickins, but that's just part of being a kid. He loved that car. I remember watching him work on cars. His hands always looked black. He had mechanic hands. Always looked like they just did an oil change. I miss you Daddy.

Dear Daddy. I miss you today. My heart felt something today. I felt an ache which told me that you have truly passed on to our Heavenly Father's home.
