Gordie's sense of humor had the unique personal touch which often showed up in his insightful stories. R.I.P. Gordie!

Uncle Gordon was always kind to me. My memories of him are fond. I wish I could have spent more time with him and gotten to know him better.

Gord played a big part in our family, with us being new to Victoria. He became my Dad's best friend. Great loving Guy... you will be missed Gord!

Gordon, legend has it we met you on Saturna Place in Cordova Bay. You were working for the Chans and then Walter across the street and Dad (Don Braden) thought you were skinny and needed to eat some meat and potatoes. He kept inviting you over for dinner and a glass of wine and finally you did and became a member of our family in every way that matters. Countless steak dinners on Friday nights, family gatherings, road trips, Christmases, and roast beef Sundays. How many kitchens did you build for Mom? The plans were scribbled on cigarette boxes and came out perfectly. You were a life saver and boy did we laugh. Full of stories, complaints, ideas and interests. Yes, you were a Renaissance man. Your love of antique furniture, art, cars, music to name just a few. One of your favourite words was "beautiful". Jeanne, Lorelei, Trevor and family my deepest sympathies. To read that Gordo had love in his life till the end is wonderful to know. I know I have pictures somewhere ... my email address if you would like to reach out anytime is [email protected]

My friend of 30 odd years, I will miss you, your terrible jokes, irreverence, sense of the absurd, and laughter. but, most of all your enormous generosity and loyalty. I'll never forget all the times you came to my rescue with fallen trees, flooded basement, generators, tents for parties, tables for weddings. I do not recall that you ever said "no" to my hair brained schemes and built our dream house. Yes, I will miss you but you can gloat because you won the race to the finish of life.
