Gordon was raised in and around Bladensburg, Oh. He worked many years all over Ohio on road construction. He settled in Gallipolis,Oh. where he worked at building the Gavin Power Plant. He was Superintendent of Heavy Equipment and a long standing member of the Ohio Operating Engineers of Columbus, Ohio.

He then retired relocating to Florida and later to Morristown TN. He and his late wife Hope lived in Morristown many years. There they were very involved in the First Christian Church. Gordon worked up till 85 years of age for Rusty Wallace GMC/Kia and Cadillac Dealer. He loved his job and coworkers which became a high light in his life.

Gordon was blessed with a long and well lived life. He was surrounded by wonderful close friends and family. If you knew Gordon, he could talk a dog off of a Meat Truck and never met a stranger anywhere. He had a way of lighting up a room with all his stories and him playing the jokester.

Gordon was a man of unwavering faith in God. His love and trust in the Lord gave him strength and comfort his last and final days. With his Daughter and Son at his bedside and his favorite hymn playing, I come to the Garden Alone. Gordon then embraced the arms of the Lord taking his final breath.

I am confident that Gordon heard "Well done good and faithful servant" when he arrived in Heaven! He was one of the most humble people I've known and he loved his Savior tremendously - never missing an opportunity to tell someone about Jesus!
He will be dearly missed here on earth
