Everyday without you gets harder and harder papa... I wish you could be here to see myself and your amazing grand babies grow. I always talk about you and keep your spirit alive. I know you are here in spirit protecting us. caius always says hi papa Gordie, mummy look papa and he says don´t cry mom be happy life is very hard without my best friend. I wish I could go back to the last time I saw you the day before you left us and just hug you and give u an even bigger kiss and hug than I did. You´re supposed to still be here with us papa it breaks my heart how bad I struggle with you being gone.

Gordo was a dear friend. He was always there for us. He arranged for us to find a new residence and helped us move to Hawarden, Saskatchewan. Much love always, Susan Ewert-Hathiramani

Dear Bonnie, Ryan, Amy and families.
As I sit to write an "In Memoriam" to my daughter Laurie, I am reminded of the time when she was driving down Melrose Avenue in her little red Festiva after a heavy snowfall. She had run over a broken bottle which drove straight into the tire. Gord saw her driving with a flat tire, flagged her down, and changed the tire in the midst of deep snow and brutally cold weather. Such was Gord. A man of kindness and generosity who will always be remembered. I am thankful that my family had the opportunity to know him. My thoughts and prayers are with you always.

Gord was such a good friend to my dad and my memories of them together and the stories Gord would tell will always bring a smile to my face and a warm glow to my heart.
I have such thanks for Gord, for countless reasons, but especially for being my dad's friend and for looking after me when I needed help after my dad was gone.
Thank you Gord.
