Gordon L. Phelan

GORDON L. PHELAN, 83, a resident of Lytle Creek, CA for 50 years, passed away Sept. 24th, 2007 at Citrus Convalescent Home in Fontana. Gordon was born March 17th, 1924 in Osbur n, ID. He served in the United States Marine Corp during WWII in the South Pacific. Gordon worked for the US Forest Service in Lytle Creek and retired from the Rialto Unified School District. Gordon is survived by his wife of 54 years, Treva L. Phelan; daughters, Cathi L. Phelan of Danbury, IA, June L. Vinyard of Wallula, WA; son, Dennis G. Phelan of Sherwood, OR; sister Isobelle J. Manley of Helena, MT; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Patrick L. Phelan on Oct ober 9th, 2000. A memorial service will be held Sat. Sept. 29th, 2007, 1:30pm, at Lytle Creek Community Center. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to your local VFW post.
