Gordon SCHERMERHORN

SCHERMERHORN _ Gordon R. 1940 - 2003 It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Gordon R. Schermerhorn of Calgary at home on Tuesday, September 16, 2003 at the age of 62. He is survived by his beloved wife Susan Gold; sons, Paul (Bez) of Calgary and Dean (Janet) of Chestermere; and his former wife Jacqueline Sheridan of Calgary; and sister Alice (Greg) Lockheed of Oshawa; and was predeceased by his parents Roy and Doris. Gord was born September 21, 1940 in Fort Erie, Ontario and was raised in Fort Erie and Toronto. He worked for Bell-Technical & Burroughs in Toronto. In 1979 he moved to Calgary and worked for several computer service companies with his final ten years with GE Capital IT Solutions as a computer technician, of those, he was on-site with ATCO Gas for five years. He was greatly respected by people in the computer business. He was kind, always tried to help people, he loved the challenges of computers, to dance, cook and do woodworking and will be greatly missed. A Memorial Service will be held at CALGARY CREMATORIUM CHAPEL, 3219 - 4 Street N.W. (within the valley of Queen's Park Cemetery) on Saturday, September 20, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 1825 Park Road S.E., Calgary, AB T2G 3Y6.
