PILOT MOUNTAIN - Mrs. Grace Hall Cox, 97, of Pilot Mountain died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at Oak Summit Nursing Center in Winston-Salem. She was born May 31, 1908, in Patrick County, Va., to Joseph Ralph Hall Sr. and Mary Mabelle Martin Hall. Mrs. Cox was a homemaker and seamstress and was of the Primitive Baptist faith. Survivors include her daughters, Shirley Byerly and Joy Ann Wilson of Winston-Salem and Mary Leigh Hunter of Pilot Mountain; son and daughter-in-law, Hassel Cox and wife Barbara of Kernersville; grandchildren, Judy K. Wilson, Bobbie Jo Thacker, Kenneth Cox, Robin Spainhour, Blaine Wilson, Ashley D. Ryden and Wesley Hunter; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Elaine Wilkinson of Fieldale, Va., and Julia Morris of Melbourne, Fla.; and brother Ralph Hall of Woolwine, Va. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Cox; three sisters; and four brothers. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Nov. 18, at Howell-Nelson Funeral Chapel of Pilot Mountain, with the Rev. Jim Saul officiating. Interment will follow at Pilot Mountain City Cemetery.
