Grace Evelyn Moore

Grace Evelyn Moore, 85, of San Antonio, TX, passed away on November 4, 2023. She was born on June 10, 1938, in Alexandria, LA, to the late Ewell S. Aiken and Geraldine Phillips Aiken.

Evelyn was a beloved middle school teacher for 28 years, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of countless students. Her passion for education and dedication to her students will always be remembered.

Outside of her career, Evelyn had a variety of interests and hobbies. She found joy in gardening, traveling, reading, and spending time with her friends and family. Her warm and encouraging nature made her a joy to be around, and her love for people and animals was evident to all who knew her.

Evelyn was a member of Community Bible Church in San Antonio, TX, where she found solace and strength in her faith. She cherished her time spent worshiping and connecting with her church community.

She is survived by her son, Michael Moore, and wife Kimberly Moore; her daughter, Meredith Millican, and husband Brent Millican; her grandson, Truitt Millican; her granddaughter, Tess Millican; her sister, Elizabeth Abbott; and several nieces and nephews. Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack L. Moore.

A memorial service to celebrate Evelyn's life will be held at Community Bible Church, located at 2477 N. Loop 1604 E., San Antonio, TX 78232, on Monday, November 27, at 10:00 am.

Evelyn will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and students whose lives she touched.
